Home Ownership?

Man that is going to suck if it is true.....We sold our home when my husband decided to join the Air Force. It does not make sense for us to own a home......We move every 3 years- Wow...This creates a lot of problems......We had just made the decision to start in Sept. and with a China only agency......now what do we do? I'm afraid if we continue with our current plan we could end up losing a lot of money- since we will not be able to switch programs......and it will break our hearts as well. Aghhhh and I'm on vacation now- I'm supposed to be relaxing!

On a lighter note- the boys and I packed up the car and drove from Florida to NY- they did great (not a surprise as they have been traveling with us since they were months old)- and we arrived safe and sound and are now being spoiled by friends and family! I love the North East- especially upstate NY.......so beautiful.

HUM I am troubled by this as well. I had heard the thing about homeownership but didn't give it a second thought until now. I totally does not make sense for you guys to be buying and selling every 3 years. That is just a bad move financially. I would seriously call CCAI and see if they can investigate this for you. Your are a military family and since your husband works for the government, I am wondering if there is some loophole you could fall into that would allow you to be eligible with the CCAA and still not be a homeowner. If you have to be a home owner, does the home you own have your primary home? If not, could one of your relatives make you a co-owner of their home for the period of time you do the adoption???

This would impact lots of folks in, say, New York and such as they don't own homes up there. I have heard that this is a rumor (much like the singles rumor that they won't have a singles program either, yikes). I am kind of doubtful this is true. Hold your chin up!!
